When my husband, Phil, brought home a memo from work, the Owner of the company was seeking help in the home office during upcoming staff vacations. Was I interested? "If I could work in downtown Seattle again for a couple of weeks, sure!"
Our Thanksgiving dinner had to be left at home, in various stages of preparation. We're now at Children's Houston. It's nearly midnight. We expected Benjamin's subcutaneous medicine to be delivered to our home by courier, (which is how it's always delivered, being a special medication). Imagine our dismay when Shannon opened the package, only to discover NO medication and only supplies! Digging deeper, we found the packing slip - for another patient in California!
I'm happy to present my unique digital artwork, "Good King Wenceslas", which beautifully captures the timeless story told by one of my favorite Christmas carols. I love Christmas stories and traditions, and I have imagined the enchanting tale of the Good King Wenceslas through my art.
"Good King Wenceslas looked out, on the Feast of Stephen..." The story comes alive in this digital piece, depicting the King walking through the snow-covered winter forest, with his majestic castle perched on the hill behind him. This classic Christmas carol has inspired me to create a visual representation that resonates with the spirit of the holiday season.
The gallery opening of Art Feeds the Soul at the Brazos Arts Center in College Station, Texas, was an unforgettable evening that brought together artists, art enthusiasts, and community leaders to celebrate the transformative power of creativity.
The event featured a vibrant atmosphere as city officials, fellow artists, and members of the Brazos Visual Arts Guild gathered to mark the occasion. The spacious venue provided the perfect setting, with attendees enjoying refreshments indoors and on the lawn under the beautiful evening sky.
Title; "Arabian Horse Spirit" Original Acrylic Painting on Canvas 18 x 24 inches
In this dynamic acrylic painting, a spirited Arabian stallion prances with exuberance, embodying joy and freedom. The elegant grey (white) horse is adorned with a traditional Bedouin-style halter, complete with vivid red silk tassels that sway in rhythm with his lively steps. The stallion’s powerful presence contrasts beautifully against a rich, dark background, subtly accented with tones of blue, green, and red. The minimal yet striking backdrop highlights the horse’s movement and vitality, creating a sense of celebration and happiness.
Stacey's painting captures the timeless grace and beauty of the Arabian breed, blending tradition with contemporary art. The vibrant energy of the stallion invites the viewer to share in his unrestrained joy, making it a captivating centerpiece for any equestrian or art collection.
"Arabian Horse Spirit" fine art prints are available from the artist.
