Art Feeds the Soul: A Celebration of Creativity and Connection

The gallery opening of Art Feeds the Soul at the Brazos Arts Center in College Station, Texas, was an unforgettable evening that brought together artists, art enthusiasts, and community leaders to celebrate the transformative power of creativity.

The event featured a vibrant atmosphere as city officials, fellow artists, and members of the Brazos Visual Arts Guild gathered to mark the occasion. The spacious venue provided the perfect setting, with attendees enjoying refreshments indoors and on the lawn under the beautiful evening sky.

A Great Community Resource

The gallery features a wide array of artworks, showcasing the immense talent and diversity of the Brazos Visual Arts Guild. I felt honored to stand alongside so many gifted artists at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, a moment that symbolized the unity and passion of our creative community.

It was an especially meaningful evening for me, as I had the joy of sharing the experience with my family. My daughter Shannon and my grandson Benjamin attended the opening, adding a personal touch to the celebration. Shannon captured many wonderful moments throughout the evening, including one of Benjamin standing proudly in front of my painting, Arabian Spirit, while holding my Courage is Contagious steel mug—a photo I will cherish forever.

For those who missed the opening night, there’s still plenty of time to experience this inspiring exhibition. The show will run through March 6, 2025, at the Arts Center of Brazos Valley, located at 4180 Texas 6 Frontage Rd, College Station, TX.

Whether you’re a local art lover or visiting from afar, I invite you to immerse yourself in this extraordinary celebration of art. Events like these remind us that art truly feeds the soul and brings people together, transcending borders and cultures.
